Business Development Representative

The Business Development team at Peterson Solutions is responsible for driving lead generation for our sustainability technology solutions across various industries. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities by managing inbound leads and executing targeted outbound campaigns. This role will focus on promoting Peterson Solutions’ suite of sustainability solutions, including Carbon accounting platforms, Supply chain sustainability tools, ESG Reporting tools and many more.

Job Description

  • Qualify and generate inbound and outbound sales leads for Peterson Solutions’ sustainability solutions.
  • Develop and execute multiple targeted campaigns to identify and engage potential clients.
  • Identify key decision-makers and conduct thorough lead research to understand their sustainability needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design effective outbound strategies and refine our approach to new leads.
  • Understand the sustainability challenges faced by businesses across various sectors and effectively position Peterson Solutions’ solutions.
  • Discover client needs related to environmental impact, regulatory compliance, and sustainability reporting, and identify corresponding sales opportunities.
  • Present and articulate the features, benefits, and future direction of Peterson Solutions’ sustainability solutions.
  • Utilize a range of sales and BDR tools to manage leads and track performance.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in business development or a strong understanding of sustainability principles and technology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as Business Development Representative or similar positions.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding performance sales goals.
  • Strong curiosity and a passion for continuous learning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
