WHAT IS ISCC?
ISCC stands for the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification. It is a globally recognized certification system and sustainability standard supports sustainable, fully traceable, deforestation-free and climate-friendly supply chains. ISCC certification is designed to ensure that products and processes are produced and sourced in an environmentally, socially, economically responsible manner. To put their commitment to the UN Global Compact into practice and constantly improve their contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the certification acts as a support to businesses to act more responsibly by setting sustainability standards for farms and plantations and by facilitating the use of wastes and residues. Through the utilisation of recycled materials or materials derived from biological waste, companies can accelerate the transition to a circular economy. The certification covers sustainable agricultural biomass, biogenic wastes and residues, non-biological renewable materials and recycled carbon-based materials.

Voluntary sustainability certification for plastics and chemicals, food and feed markets, as as biofuels outside the European Union and the UK.

Recognised by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) for the certification of CORSIA-eligible sustainable aviation fuels.

Recognised by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and can be used to comply with the Dutch legal sustainability requirements for solid biomass for energy applications SDE+
